    The Belmont Burlesque Revue, founded in 2003, was a foundational troupe in the Neo-Burlesque movement in Chicago. This panel will delve into the rich history and evolution of the burlesque scene, exploring how it has transformed over the past two decades.


    Panelists:

    • Naughty Natanya: A founding member and associate producer of the Belmont Burlesque Revue, founding member and company manager Kiss Kiss Cabaret, company manager Naughty Little Cabaret, talent coordinator for The Darling, and Peek-Easy production coordinator.
    • Paris Green: Producer and performer of live theater since 1998, founding member and founding artistic director of the Belmont Burlesque Revue, co-executive producer for the Windy City Burlesque Festival, co-founding producer of Glitter Guild Burlesque, and Chicago producer of Thrifty Thrills which raised money for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
    • Ms Pixy: Burlesque performer since 2001, founding member of the Belmont Burlesque Revue, founder of Geek Girl Burlesque, founding co-producer of Glitter Guild Burlesque, Founder of MsPixy Productions which has produced/performed/participated in the Chicago Burlesque Showcase, Going Dutch, and Elgin Fringe Festivals, Education Director of the Windy City Burlesque Festival, and Nerdlesque Producer of the Burning City Burlesque and Variety Festival.
    • Greg Inda (Host): Burlesque photographer, three years honored in the non-performer category of the Burlesque Top 50, stage manager of the Belmont Burlesque Revue, and producer of The Big Reveal.

    The discussion will cover:

    • The landscape of burlesque in Chicago in the early 2000's.
    • Changes and trends in the Neo-Burlesque and Nerdlesque movements.
    • Personal and professional insights from over two decades of performer/producer experience.

    Following the panel, there will be an audience Q&A session, providing an opportunity to engage with the panelists directly.

    While there is a suggested ticket price of $15, we operate on a "pay what you can" basis to ensure that everyone can access the knowledge and experiences shared during this event.
