Join us for a hands-on creative experience where art, sustainability, and craftsmanship come together! In this unique workshop, you’ll learn the basics of MIG welding—no experience required! Guided by professional metal artist Stacey Mrva at Ironwood Studios, you’ll weld your own steel honeybee before attaching it to a beautifully crafted Cedar Mason Bee House from Sweetwood Mountain Honey Co. The result? A functional, eco-friendly wild bee house perfect for your garden or as a thoughtful gift.

Frequently asked questions

What is your cancellation policy?

Workshop fees are non-refundable for any reason; however, you can have someone take your spot or use it as credit for another class. I must be notified 3 days prior to class if you are unable to attend to offer you credit or transfer to another person.

Is there an age requirement?

Participants must be at least 16 years old to register for the class. Teens 13 and older may attend if accompanied by an adult. For children 12 and under, please reach out to discuss suitability at stacey@ironwoodstudiosinc.com

Will safety equipment be provide?

Yes, welding helmets, jackets, and gloves are provided. Safety glasses and ear protection is also provided as needed.

What is your inclement weather policy?

We base cancellations on weather conditions in our immediate area (Livingston County) and only cancel if there’s a recommendation to stay off the roads. Winter weather is typical in the Finger Lakes Region. If driving in these conditions is a concern, we recommend signing up for workshops during war
