People have asked for it and Worcester County 4-H is making this exciting experience happen? Starting on Tuesday, May 21st, we will begin a seven session Activity Club which will be taught by professional artists of Worcester County, Maryland. There will be two sessions on glass fusion, two sessions on ceramics/sculpture and three sessions on Plein Air Art. Plein air painting is about leaving the four walls of your studio behind and experiencing painting and drawing in the landscape. The practice goes back for centuries but was truly made into an art form by the French Impressionists.

About the Artists!
Alexis Southward gained her Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Radford University and is proficient in Graphic Design. She loves acrylic painting and enjoys teaching youth the love of the arts. Alexis enjoys using art to help people heal regarding their mental health.
Shane Kio is an artist and teacher who has worked with children for over 30 years. He taught in the public school system for 25 years before retiring to open his own pottery studio, Wockypots, in Pocomoke, Md, where he creates unique pieces of pottery and offers a variety of art instruction classes for both adults and children.
Don Cheeseman is a retired Art Teach and a professional Glass Artist at the Artist's Connection in the Snow Hill Gallery. He is a fantastic teacher and loves seeing the youth develop a love of glass fusion.
