Share in this virtual workshop series with 8 gifted leaders to discover more about the foundations and practice of spiritual direction.

Carla Orlando, M.Ed, is an educator, spiritual director, retreat facilitator, and artist who teaches discernment, reflective writing, and tools for contemplative prayer. 

Carla's ministry includes Ignatian Spirituality Center where she coordinates the Seek and Find  Spiritual Direction Service and creates formation events for ISC spiritual directors. Carla serves as a spiritual director and retreat minister in Spiritual Exercises for Everyday Life - SEEL Puget Sound  and has helped in the formation of new and experienced Ignatian spiritual directors as SEEL's former lead director.

1st Session: Thursday, Jan. 19 – Foundations – Meet the Presenters

Valerie Lesniak, PhD served as a faculty member and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs over the course of 20 years at the Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry.

Rev. Kevin F. Burke, S.J, is the Vice President for University Mission and Professor of Theology at Regis University.

2nd Session: Thursday, March 9 (rescheduled) – Practice – Meet the Panelists

Tom Cashman is a spiritual director and teacher of spiritual formation, and assisted in the design of the Pastoral Leadership Program in the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University.

Trung Pham, SJ, is a Vietnamese-born, Seattle-based artist, educator, and spiritual director, whose immigrant experience has profoundly influenced his artwork which explores spiritual and religious depth that stands in high contrast with contemporary culture and values.

Jeanie Robinson is a seasoned spiritual director who other directors seek for her wise companionship, and is a graduate of Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry.

3rd Session: Thursday, Mar. 16 – Applications – Meet the Panelists

Leonetta Elaiho is a spiritual director, non-profit leader, and public theologian, and received the Sullivan Scholarship at Seattle University.

Patty Repikoff, DMin has served as Pastoral Life Director of St. Therese Church and Christ the King/Cristo Rey Church, a Coordinator of Eastside Catholic Hispanic/Latino Ministry, and as a Pastoral Advocate for Mission with Catholic Community Services.

Patrick J. Twohy, SJ, is an author, poet, spiritual leader and respected Elder in both Catholic and Native communities.
