Welcome to Mama's Food Tour!

The walking American Dream Food Tour warmly introduces guests to locally-owned culinary gems with delicious local, global, and evolving flavors that reflect the beautiful impact of immigration and assimilation in the nation's capital, which is known for its lack of culinary borders. Guests will enjoy comforting food tastings from up to six locations and hear the stories behind the diverse food and Washingtonians, past and present, in their efforts to achieve their American Dream. Along the way and about a one-mile stretch, your guide will touch on some fascinating local history with stops along the Adams Morgan Heritage Trail and other landmarks that, in their entirety, reflect the power of community, resilience, and achieving the American Dream.

Food tastings at each destination, one bottle of water, gratuities at each dining destination, and a tour guide committed to ensuring you feel welcome! Your tour guide is also happy to share recommendations for culinary stops based on your specific interests.

What is not included?

Beverages at each destination (excluding tap water), storage for luggage, and gratuities for your tour guide. You may certainly order and pay for your beverages separately, just so long as they don't delay the tour!
