About this event

  • 2 hours

Alec Shaw is an ethereal soul songwriter and producer raised in the foothills of the cascades inWashington State, garnering attention as an artist whose sound has developed into a soulfulcombination of two large worlds of musical influence rooted in gospel and northwest folk.Vocally, he bridges a gap between Otis Redding and Jeff Buckley with a knack for engagingand ethereal arrangements.

“Quantity”, Alec’s fourth studio album, features Alec’s most creative and dramatic workyet. Released in 2022, “Quantity” along with a live video version of the single “Spinning” landedAlec a coveted in-studio taping with KEXP, as well as a national tour in fall of 2022 withrenowned Seattle indie-rock band Ivan & Alyosha. Quantity was co-produced with Andy Park(Mac Miller, Dave Mathews, Deep Sea Diver).

Alec’s upcoming LP takes a more nostalgic turn in its production and songwriting, usingmid-century textures and recording techniques to underscore newly explored depths oflonging, struggle and hope.
