About this event

  • 1 day 12 hours

The 2nd North York Moors ITT is here. July 6th to the 7th 2024.

From the creator of the infamous Yorkshire Dales 300 comes the North York Moors 300.

A new venue. A new challenging route but the same old vibe. #smilesandmiles

Here is a link to the 2024 route.

Those who rode in 2023 will recognise the route well but I have made a few amendments and still have a few changes to recon.

To those new to the NYM300, welcome. Please visit our North York Moors 300 Facebook page. Join, like, share and all that jazz.

Here you will find upcoming updates and information but in short, the NYM300 is a cycling endurance event.

This route can be ridden on a CX bike. Mountain bike or a gravel bike. NOT a road bike and an eBike will not have enough battery to get you around.

After a quick chat at 07.45 am, you are invited to go off and enjoy a pre-planned route in the North Yorkshire Moors. This is an individual time trial ride but you can ride in groups. Follow the route on your computers and enjoy the weekend adventure.

The North York Moors 300 IS NOT A RACE but an Individual Time Trial. It is a self-supported bike ride under rules see here at selfsupported.net.

Your entry ticket gets you a place on the 2024 mass start at RedSky Bikes.

There will be a basic breakfast spread on the morning of the ride and a hot meal on your return.

If you complete the entire route you will receive a well-earned badge.

Please visit the NYM300 Facebook page. Like, follow, share, and keep em peeled for info, advice, route amendments, and ride details.

NO. You are provided with a link to download the route onto your favoured handlebar computer or navigation device.

What bike can I use

Any bike really but flat tyres will be a road bike issue, a BMX will struggle on the climbs. An eBike will require several batteries to get you around but is best done on a lightweight full suspension bike. A hardtail mountain bike. A fully rigid mountain bike or a gravel or cyclocross bike.
