The 2024 Matriarch's Gathering at Wicuhkemtultine

The 2024 Matriarch's Gathering at Wicuhkemtultine is going to be a powerfully transformative three-day event dedicated to fostering unity, healing, and empowerment among women.

This year's Matriarch's Gathering looks deeply into the collective trauma that women have experienced across time. Our focus this year will be on healing the deep grief that has been passed down mother to daughter, generation-by-generation. This event will feature insightful discussions and facilitated healing practices led by a lineup of powerful speakers representing diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences. Expert speakers will guide participants in identifying and understanding the many ways that women have carried grief in their hearts, minds, bodies, and spirits. Together, we will begin unraveling the threads of grief that have been woven into our lives and family histories. Participants will leave with tools and insights that will help move us closer to healing the legacy of transferred pain that we have all inherited.

We will be assisted in this work by the incredible gina Breedlove, a sound healer, vocalist, composer, grief doula, author, and oracle for Grace. gina has spent decades exploring the many ways that sound and vibration can enable us to grow, heal, and connect. She shares profound insights, heart-opening stories, and powerful ritual and daily practices to bring the medicine of Grace and love to the world. These women bring a perspective of deep time to their teachings, carrying the knowledge of their own lineages back to their arrival in Aotearoa.
