About this event

Don't hire a real estate agent until you watch this 8-minute video from PBS.

Bring your questions to our webinar and we'll explain how this lawsuit will affect you as a Texas home buyer.

*** If you cannot attend the webinar, we can email you the recording. Please RSVP so we can email it to you afterwards. ***

Why pay $15,000 to a real estate agent when you buy your $500,000 home? When instead you could pay $100/hour for 50 hours of time.

You can find homes you like on Zillow. You can look up HOA dues and Property Taxes yourself. And you can schedule home tours. You just need an agent who knows local home sales to help you negotiate your offer with home sellers. That's it. Technology has made the home buying process so much easier.

In this webinar, you'll learn:

- How real estate agents get paid.
- Why you need to negotiate this fee upfront, and how to do that.
- Why using Zillow to find an agent often costs you $5000 (or more).
- How to get home sellers to cover $5000 of your closing costs.
- How to qualify for your mortgage.
- Why lenders charge $1000 higher fees for a 719 credit score, compared to a 720.
- How to request 10 lender quotes in 10 minutes, and find cheaper PMI, rates, and fees.

I won't pay for your lunch, like so many real estate agents will during a Home Buying Lunch And Learn. Because I don't want you to hire me as your agent. Instead, in this 30 minute webinar, I'll give you far more value than a $15 sandwich. I'll explain how the real estate industry actually works, so you're better prepared to negotiate with lenders and agents. Because homes aren't cheap, and closing costs are not fun. Get somebody else to pay them for you.

About Your Instructor

My name is Ben Strube. I'm the owner of my family's company, Mortgage On A Mission. I help Texas home buyers with FHA and Conventional loans by making lenders earn their business by offering lower rates, fees, and PMI. I work with clients from Pre-Approval, credit coaching, looking at houses, submitting offers, and getting to the closing table.

I used to work as a Realtor for a real estate company in DFW that served home buyers coming to us through Zillow. I worked previously as a loan officer at Chase Bank after graduating college at UT Tyler (Economics). I teach Continuing Education classes for about 100 real estate agents each year. And I love to share what I've learned the past 10 years about Texas real estate from buying, borrowing, tax protest, home insurance, investing, home improvements, and more.
