Our Texas License to Carry (LTC) course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to obtain your LTC and carry concealed handguns safely and within the bounds of the law. Whether you're a first-time gun owner or a seasoned shooter, this course is tailored to meet your needs and exceed the state's LTC requirements.

Course Highlights:

  • Texas Laws and Regulations: Gain a comprehensive understanding of Texas firearm laws, regulations, and LTC eligibility criteria. Learn about firearm storage and transport rules, gun-free zones, and legal aspects of using deadly force for self-defense.
  • Firearm Safety: Safety is paramount. Our course will emphasize responsible firearm handling, storage, and care. You'll learn how to safely load, unload, and operate your handgun, as well as how to minimize accidents and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Marksmanship Skills: Improve your shooting accuracy and proficiency under the guidance of certified instructors. You'll learn proper stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control. Range time will allow you to practice and refine your shooting skills.
  • Self-Defense Principles: Explore the principles of self-defense, threat assessment, and conflict avoidance. Understand the legal and moral implications of using a firearm for self-defense.
  • Non-Violent Dispute Resolution: Learn strategies to de-escalate confrontations and avoid the use of deadly force whenever possible. Effective communication and conflict resolution are essential skills for responsible LTC holders.
  • Live Fire Qualification: Complete the mandatory live fire qualification course. We'll guide you through the shooting exercise required for your LTC application, ensuring you meet or exceed the state's standards.
  • Mock Scenarios: Engage in practical, real-life scenarios to test your judgment and decision-making skills in self-defense situations. This interactive training prepares you for the unexpected.
  • Legal Rights and Responsibilities: Understand your rights and responsibilities as an LTC holder. We'll cover the legal aspects of using a firearm in self-defense and what to do in the aftermath of a self-defense incident.
  • State Application Process: Navigate the LTC application process step by step. Our instructors will guide you through the paperwork, fingerprinting, and all requirements to obtain your Texas LTC.

Course Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old (or 18 for active duty military or honorably discharged veterans).

No felony convictions or certain misdemeanor convictions.

Complete the Texas DPS application process, including fingerprinting.

A safe and functional handgun (rentals available).

Upon successful completion of this Texas License to Carry course, you'll be well-prepared to apply for your LTC, and you'll have the confidence and skills to carry a concealed handgun legally and responsibly.
