The Cottage Health Robotic Surgery Center is equipped with the state-of the-artda Vinci® Xi Surgical System. The Xi System’s immersive 3D-HD vision system provides surgeons a highly magnified view, virtually extending their eyes and hands into the patient.In 2017, the Cottage Robotic Surgery Center performed over 300 robotic surgery procedures. The robotic surgical team atSanta Barbara Cottage Hospitalhas worked together for 13 years, which brings a superior level of teamwork and skill to our program.Since 2005, ourrobotic surgery teamhas performed over 2,000 surgeries at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Test your robotic surgery skills and win a Sony PlayStation 4!
Join the Cottage Robotic Surgery Center's free community event. Attendees will have hands on experience performing a "mock" da Vinci robotic surgery procedure. Everyone in attendance will be able to move the unit’s arms, play with the instruments and experience what surgeons see and feel when they use the robot to operate. Individuals will have the opportunity to perform a simulated one-minute surgery. Prizes will be given to the highest scorers, with the grand prize winner receiving a Sony PlayStation 4. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and help guide you through your simulated robotic surgery. 
Open to ages 13 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
