What You'll Cover

Level 1 is designed to move you from "knowing what the buttons do" to developing a natural, confident flow. This is all about active practice — honing your ears and your hands. Across the 4 weeks, you'll explore:

• Gear, Software & Setup — Get hands-on with DJ equipment and learn to set up a full DJ system from scratch, including the essentials of Rekordbox software.
• Mixing Techniques & FX — Learn to sync tempos (BPM) manually and practise smooth transitions using filters and creative effects.
• The Art of Beatmatching — Dive into the crucial skill of manual beatmatching, identifying beat patterns, and using faders for seamless blends.
• Phrasing & Selection — Understand music structure (bars and phrasing) and use headphones to cue your tracks like a pro.

By the end of this course, you'll have the skills and confidence to progress directly to our Level 2: BEGINNERS workshop.
