About this event

TESOL Continuing Education Certificate – Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

This comprehensive eight-week course is designed to equip educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively teach English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). Through a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, participants will explore key theories, methodologies, and practical strategies for teaching English language learners (ELLs) in diverse educational settings. At the end of this course, students will be given an in-person/online practicum where they will teach a 15-minute lesson using the knowledge they have learned throughout the course.

Week 1 will consist of students meeting on ground where they will be introduced to the coursework and acclimated to their learning environment.

Weeks 2 - 6 will consist of online instructor/student-led class meetings with the opportunity of having office hours with your instructor to discuss class material.

Weeks 7 and 8 will consist of teaching an in-person/online practicum. Students will teach a 15-minute lesson using the knowledge they have learned throughout the course.
