Tera’s Majorette Workshop!

Tera’s Majorette Workshop!

Overview

There will be a 4 hour intensive training session focused on developing technique, strength, flexibility, and performance skills.

Get ready for a 4-hour intensive training experience, designed to challenge you, strengthen your skills, and push you to become a more confident and well-rounded performer.

Throughout the session, we will focus on flexibility, strength, conditioning, technique, performance quality, and choreography. Training will begin with detailed stretches and workout exercises to properly prepare the body, improve mobility, build endurance, and reduce the risk of injury.

What to Expect

Warm-Up, Stretching & Conditioning

We will begin with a thorough warm-up and stretching session, followed by conditioning exercises designed to improve strength, stamina, control, and overall physical performance.

Choreography & Routine Training

You will learn and practice multiple routines throughout the training. We will take time to break down choreography, focus on musicality, timing, precision, transitions, performance quality, and execution. Be prepared to repeat combinations and routines as we work toward performing them with confidence and consistency.

Group Activities

This training will include interactive group activities and exercises that encourage teamwork, communication, and collaboration. These activities are also a great opportunity to meet new people, build connections, and become comfortable working with different dancers.

Breaks & Recovery

Because this is an intensive 4-hour session, there will be several short breaks throughout the training to allow everyone to hydrate, recover, and reset. A 15-minute scheduled break will take place at the two-hour mark, along with additional brief breaks as needed.

Expectations

Participants are expected to arrive 15-20 minutes early to allow enough time for check-in and to get settled before training begins. Be prepared to start on time as we will not wait for anyone.

Discipline, focus, and professionalism are mandatory.

This is a training environment, and everyone is expected to come prepared to work, learn, listen, and give their best effort. Be respectful of the instructor, your fellow dancers, and the space. Stay focused during instruction, be willing to take corrections, and maintain a positive and hardworking attitude throughout the session.

This is not a session where we simply learn choreography and leave. The goal is to challenge yourself, improve your technique, strengthen your performance abilities, and leave the room better than when you entered.

Come prepared to sweat, learn, work hard, and have fun while doing it!

What to wear:

Dancers are expected to come dressed in all black clothing with NO GRAPHICS. White shoes and socks are preferred. If you do not have white athletic sneakers, black shoes and socks should be worn.

Hair is to be out of the face. A black scarf around the head is permissible IF needed. No colors!
We would like all dancers to be in unison amongst each other.

Bring:

  • Water
