This is a 4.5 hour class designed to educate employers and employees on heat and cold stress prevention in the workplace. This is a free training developed under a Susan Harwood Targeted Topic Training Grant.

Topics include:

  • Risk factors for heat stress
  • Sign and symptoms of heat-related illnessses
  • Response and first aid measures for heat-related illnesses in the workplace
  • How to prevent heat stress in the workplace
  • Cold stress disorders, response, and first-aid
  • How to prevent cold stress in the workplace
