Telesur Suriname's biggest telco has actively empowered innovation since 2011 by establishing TMIL as in innovation hub for development of innovation in Suriname through seminars, hackathons and product development sessions.IT-Core Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer driven foundation that promotes innovation in ICT for young ones in Suriname (http://www.it-core.sr). Organizing hackathons, IoT challenges and RoboKidz STEM courses for young ones they have joined forces with Telesur to organize this Telesur / IT-Core Hackathon 2016.

The yearly 24 hour Telesur / IT-Core Hackathon ... The main theme: “Telesur Community Connect” Implement modern trends in app development to increase customer satisfaction, communication and awareness thus reputation of Telesur as digital services provider”.
Pre-meets every saturday 10:00-12:00 held at TMIL and TOC to get prepared for success
