About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Anthony Lo-Giudice is a contemporary dance artist based in the North of England working across the UK and Europe. He currently works as a dance theatre choreographer,  a performer and also as a dance tutor.

Anthony will be guiding participants through a structured improvisation class, including solo, duet and group based exercises. The session will support individuals to explore individual experimentation, as well as providing a space to explore, play and be open to the spontaneity of moving 'in the moment'.

This class is open to dance practitioners of all abilities and experiences and is perfect to anyone who hasn't danced for a while. We want to create a supportive environment that allows anyone who have trained in dance many moons a go, to come back and reignite their love for dance. Or perhaps a dance teacher, running their own dance school who wants to move for their own enjoyment.

Alternatively, if you want to come for the social element only – just let us know on hello@teesdance.org.uk and we will email some information on where to meet.

Our programme for Dance Practitioners is subsidised and therefore participants must meet the following criteria to benefit from this provision.

Participants must:

Be over 18 years old.

No longer be studying within a formal education context.

Hold a completed qualification in creative arts at Level 5 (foundation degree) or Level 6 (undergraduate degree) or higher, or an equivalent e.g., Scottish Bachelor's Degree or international qualification. Any artists working professionally with more informal training please do get in touch with us as we’d love to hear from you.

Be currently based in or from the North East (Tees Valley, County Durham, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear)

Please note that spaces for professional activities are limited and offered to those who meet the above criteria to ensure those who are pursuing a career in dance can access suitable training, support and professional development to meet their needs within the professional dance industry. TeesDance reserves the right to amend the qualifying criteria where appropriate.
