Teeny Tiny Summit: Creating Community Wealth and Well-Being


Join us for the Teeny Tiny Summit on June 6th, 2024 in Minden, ON.


The 2023-2024 Teeny Tiny Summit series, themed Creating Community Wealth and Well-Being is returning to an in-person format, with a familiar voice and renowned community enthusiast and social capitalist - Peter Kenyon from Bank of IDEAS (Australia). Peter's keynote will focus on 'What Builds Great Communities", including such topics as:


  • Continually Developing Proactive and Shared Leadership around the six key functions of leadership.
  • Building a Positive Community Mindset focussed on positivity and can-do.
  • Cultivating Healthy Community Building Practices that strengthen community ownership, engagement, and collaborative actions.
  • Implementing initiatives that support a vibrant and enterprising local economy, diverse employment opportunities and local economic ownership.


As the host community, Haliburton County will highlight ideas and people that have contributed to building a strong community. Local speakers will address issues important to Teeny Tiny communities including housing, supporting youth, growing community well-being and the funding of local initiatives.


Lunch will be catered by Moly's Market Bakery. The cost to attend is $5. The event takes place from 9 am until 3 pm.


This event is your chance to learn from expert volunteers and active community leaders, network with like-minded individuals who share a passion for Teeny Tiny places. Whether you are a community leader, a rural volunteer, a community economic developer or an entrepreneur, the Teeny Tiny Summit is right for you. Let's work together and share ideas on how we can make our rural communities even better.

The Summits are focused on timely topics and challenges facing small rural communities. Since 2016 the Summits have reached over 2,400 participants from across Ontario.
