Overview

Turn something drab into fab!

Turn tired garments into something that speaks to you with patches and appliques! Each attendee will get a canvas pencil bag to decorate with an array of choices. Participants can bring in clothes, bags, or other cloth items to decorate, in line with the following guidelines.

  • Durable material with limited stretch is recommended, such as cotton, denim, or canvas.
  • Personal items must be something that attendees are open to customization and with the understanding that errors can happen.
  • Patches and appliques may be provided by attendees, as long as they do not contain any obscene or inappropriate images, words, or messaging. Library staff may evaluate content as needed.


Registration required. Suitable for ages 10 and up. Sewing needles and irons will be used during this program, and a waiver is required to participate. Waivers will be emailed before the program and provided the day of. Both parents/guardians or the custodial parent/guardian will need to complete the waiver for attendees to participate.

Cancellation Policy:

In an effort to be mindful of Library resources and performers, and to provide all residents with an equal opportunity to attend programs, we ask that any individual who registers for an event and is unable to attend provide 24 hours notice of cancellation by email or phone. Cancellations can also be made via Eventbrite.


Registrants who do not provide proper notice for 3 separate events will be restricted from registering for the next two events. Individuals who are temporarily restricted may still be admitted to a program on a conditional basis, provided that space is available, they are present, and all standby/waitlist registrants have been contacted and given the opportunity to attend.
