800 G Street Northwest Washington, DC 20001Teens are invited to join us as we read a selection of graphic novels inspired by the sitters in the National Portrait Gallery’s collection. Through touring our collection and group discussion about autobiographies, fantasy, and historical fiction, attendees will develop visual literacy and critical thinking skills. We finish our discussion over art-making relevent to each month's selection. Targeted for teens ages 13-19.
In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month, we will read George Takei's autobiograpy, They Called Us Enemy for May.
