Teen Coding Workshop

At UCode we not only teach kids to be proficient at coding, but we also build skills in computational thinking which are critical for future success. Students who learn how to think computationally increase their ability to think logically, think spatially, and to think creatively. By learning to code, UCode Members develop a deeper understanding of traditional school subjects such as Science and Math.We start with the fundamentals and end withmathematicalandcomputational thinking skillsbeyondmostprofessionalsoftware developers.

Valentine's Day cards can be terribly awkward, but in this workshop, we're going to learn how to use JavaScript to make them super easy, by having an algorithm make our Valentine's Day cards for us. We'll use functions, arrays, strings, and conditions to make the magic happen. If time allows, we'll turn our cards into simple web pages.
Many students interested in STEM-related subjects enjoy learning to code.
What to bring? Your own charged laptop, for electrical outlets are limited.
Parent supervision required.
