In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSMU, where x = independently organized TED event.TEDxSMU debuted in October 2009 with a half-day conference for 7th-9th grade students (TEDxKids @SMU -- the first of its kind) and a full-day adult version of the conference.At our TEDxSMU events, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.www.TED.com/TEDx

<P>For ten years, TEDxSMU has brought new and inspiring ideas from all across the world to the heart of Dallas. Join us in 2020 for our 10th anniversary celebration filled with speakers from past years and an exciting new lineup of talks designed to inspire you.</P>

<P>Standard tickets are $75.00 and include access to all three speaker sessions. You may purchase an optional box lunch for Friday for an additional $8.00. Some of the morning excursions on Friday will have costs associated with them! <STRONG>We are offering discounts for students, educators, and artists. Note: if you previously received a discount code for an artist/student/educator ticket, you don't need it here: we've made those tickets available in the list of ticket options!</STRONG></P>
<P><STRONG>After you select the number of conference tickets you wish to purchase, you will have the option to add-on a lunch from Pacific Deck for Friday, March 6th, and choose from the list of optional add-on excursions for the morning of Friday, March 6th. If you would like to be added to the wait list for an excursion, please email tedxsmu@smu.edu with your name (you must have registered for TEDxSMU to be added to the wait list) and the name of the excurison you'd like to add. </STRONG></P>
<P CLASS="sqs-block-content">Refunds may be requested up to 7 days prior to the event. Please note: Eventbrite fees are non-refundable (approximately $6 per ticket).</P>
