Now more than ever, ideas matter. We want to empower people to be solution-orientated, believing that ideas can change the way the world works. We want to encourage you to listen to new ideas, find a topics that you’re passionate about, and then take action to enable those ideas. So we’re asking, “How will you go forth?”
The TEDxFargo team is crafting a day full of ideas and experiences to bring a world-class event to our community. From the stage, you'll hear more than 20 national and global thought leaders sharing ideas worth spreading to help solve challenges and create possibilities. Most talks will be 12 minutes or less, giving you the chance to try on many ideas during the day to see what sticks, what resonates, and what ideas you want to help move into action. TEDxFargo’s goal is to be the TEDx event in the world best known for going forth and activating ideas in our community – to do that, we need you to join us.
We're giving you permission to make the Fargo Civic Center and downtown Fargo your playground for the day. You can start the day with optional morning adventures that will give you a new way of thinking about and experiencing your community. Inside the Fargo Civic Center, you'll find a world-class event with opportunities to experience locally roasted coffee, an infusion of arts, and speakers sharing ideas worth spreading.  For  lunch, local growers and chefs will delight you with a fresh, hand-crafted meal to be shared with friends old and new. After a full day of ideas and experiences, we invite you to continue exploring our community and thinking about how to move those ideas to action.

Ticket Pricing:

<LI>Early Bird Tickets - $90, on sale April 18 - May 31. You'll get early access to adventures </LI>
<LI>General Admission - $100, on sale June 1 - June 30. You'll have the ability to sign up for adventures after your ticket is purchased. </LI>
<LI>Late Registration - $125, on sale July 1 - 25. You'll have the ability to sign up for adventures after your ticket is purchased. </LI>
<LI>Full Price Tickets - $200, on sale April 18 - July 25. It costs $200 per person to produce TEDxFargo. We have generous event partners that make it possible for TEDxFargo to offer tickets at a lower price point. If you'd like to pay full price, we welcome it but don't expect it.</LI>
<LI>Student Tickets - $50, on sale April 18 - July 25. Student tickets are available for those who are currently enrolled full-time in primary, secondary or post-secondary education programs. </LI>
<LI>Group Tickets vary by the number purchased. Please take a look at the tickets to see pricing for groups.</LI>

Important: Refund requests will not be accepted after July 12, 2018. Name changes on tickets after July 18 will be accommodated as we are able, but cannot be guaranteed.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxFargo, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxFargo event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a conference in California 26 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with many initiatives.
At a TED conference, the world’s leading thinkers and doers are asked to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes or less. TED speakers have included Roger Ebert, Sheryl Sandberg, Bill Gates, Elizabeth Gilbert, Benoit Mandelbrot, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Brian Greene, Isabel Allende and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Three major TED events are held each year: The TED Conference takes place every spring in Vancouver, Canada, simultaneous with TEDActive, in Whistler, BC; and the TEDGlobal Conference takes place each summer in Edinburgh, Scotland.
On TED.com, talks from TED conferences are shared with the world for free as TED Talks videos. A new TED Talk is posted every weekday. Through the Open Translation Project, TED Talks are subtitled by volunteers worldwide into more than 90 languages. Through our distribution networks, TED Talks are shared on TV, radio, Netflix and many websites.
The TEDx initiative grants free licenses to people around the world to organize TED-style events in their communities with TED Talks and live speakers. More than 5,000 TEDx events have been held, and selected talks from these events are also turned into TED Talks videos.
The annual TED Prize grants $1 million to an exceptional individual with a wish to change the world. The TED Fellows program helps world-changing innovators from around the globe to become part of the TED community and, with its help, amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities. TED-Ed creates short video lessons by pairing master teachers with animators, for use in classroom instruction or independent learning.
