Event description

Description

The Region 2 Healthcare Coalition in collaboration with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL is pleased to announce the second annual TEDCON 2017

TEDCON combines Trauma, Emergency Medical Services, and Disaster Preparedness concepts into one two day conference.

The purpose of the conference is to collaborate across the disciplines of Disaster Management, EMS, and Trauma to create one cohesive conference and learning environment. These three disciplines are integral to each other and must collaborate to achieve success. During times of need, such as a mass casualty incident or community stressor, these three specialties must seamlessly work together for optimal outcomes. Also, often times in day-to-day activities Disaster Management, EMS, and Trauma work independently, but on the periphery of each other’s areas of expertise, which can create silos in which each discipline operates. This conference serves to break down these silos and work towards an environment of fluid collaboration between all three. By learning together, we can learn from each other, and create lasting relationships. This will only serve to strengthen our response to situations when called upon to serve our community.
