The Austin Forum on Technology & Society brings people together to learn about emerging and pervasive technologies and their importance, influence, and impact on society.Every month, hundreds  of technology leaders, innovators, creatives and other interested persons come to share information and stimulate collaborations to promote technology applications that advance society.Through our monthly events, the Austin Forum Upload podcast, and the Austin Forum Update blog, the Austin Forum on Technology & Societyexplores a wide variety of topics and stimulates discussions, collaborations, and partnerships on new technology opportunities.The Austin Forum explores technology applications, opportunities, and policies in all aspects of society: health/medicine, business/industry, science/research, education, government, entertainment, and social good.The Austin Forum monthly events are free and open to the public.

The human desire to look up, wonder, and explore is innate, and space is truly a fascinating frontier for our species. It is also a very practical industry since our global telecommunications and imaging systems already depend on satellites, and space tourism is imminent. The space industry is starting to boom, and with it come plans for new industries and dreams of new opportunities for humanity. Come learn from two experts on the technologies and science of spaceflight and the opportunities of future space industries, and dream big with us at this special Austin Forum event on technology, space, and humanity. 
Admission to the Austin Forum is always free. Free street parking is available on Tuesdays!

The Austin Forum accepts donations of used cell phones and smartphones at all our events. All devices will have a factory reset and be set up as new by the team at <A HREF="http://austinpathways.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Austin Pathways’</A> nationally-recognized <A HREF="http://austinpathways.org/unlocking-the-connection/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">“Unlocking the Connection”</A> initiative, which will connect every public housing resident with a digital device, digital literacy training, and a free or very low-cost internet connection. Your donated phone can change lives and help close Austin's digital divide, thanks to Austin Pathways.
