Welcome to Technique Tuesdays at Anam Cara Dance! Join us every Tuesday May 7th-June11th to work on your Belly Dance Technique. This session has no opportunity to perform.
Students will learn basic technique including lifted stance and posture, shimmies, isolations, undulations and traveling steps. Class will include a brief introduction to the history, music, context and philosophy of belly dance. Using drills to help us better understand the complexity of belly dance.
Perfect for anyone who wants to explore the world of belly dance and learn the basic techniques, movements, and rhythms. Learning from Kalayla will help you connect with your body, improve your posture, and build strength and flexibility. This is also great for experenced dancers. I will give you more challenging layers to work on your technique.
