<p>This Zoom meeting features two executives from the Montana-based TechLink Council and NMBio board member Mary Monson, Senior Manager, Technology Partnerships, Sandia National Labs. TechLink assists innovation-minded entrepreneurs and businesses identify, evaluate and license technology developed within the Department of Defense and VA labs nationwide. DOD labs fuel a critical base of research and discovery in virtually all fields, including biotech and tech. Partnering with businesses, DOD labs transfer innovations from lab to market, meeting global and national challenges with solutions that secure our future. TechLink’s match-making service is free. TechLink’s Austin Leach, Associate Director, and Derek Mayer, Senior Technology Manager, will explain how the program works and how you can access research opportunities at the nation’s federal labs.</p><p> Mary has partnered with TechLink and will discuss the benefits of their collaborations. Mary has more than 20 years of management experience at Sandia in business development, intellectual property management, licensing and technology transfer. She is the Senior Manager responsible for technology transfer and business development at Sandia. Her team fosters partnerships with industry, academia, government agencies and other laboratories. Previously, she was responsible for managing and licensing Sandia’s intellectual property portfolio which led Sandia to an increase in commercial licensing by 130%. In addition, she established the business development capability at Sandia, which now employs more than 40 staff members. Prior to joining Sandia, Mary worked for a decade in high tech companies including Unisys Corporation, Texas Instruments and Digital Equipment Corporation.</p>
