About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

West Michigan Tech Talent is hitting the trails. Join us for a series of trail hikes and networking events featuring sunshine (we hope), fresh air and great company. Each season, we’ll host hikes at different times and venues throughout the region.

Before and after each hike, we’ll also share unique content to enhance your experience. So grab your water bottle and granola bar and get ready to network, meet new people and learn something new — all while enjoying West Michigan’s parks and trail systems year-round.

Our next opportunity to connect outdoors is just around the corner.

Join us for the next Tech Trails hike at Millennium Park, led by Stacy Bare from Friends of Grand Rapids Parks.

Location: Millennium Park, 1415 Maynard Ave SW, Walker, MI 49534Date: Tuesday, September 16Time: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

This free, guided walk is a great opportunity to:

Connect with local tech professionalsUnplug and recharge in natureExplore a local gem in West Michigan’s park system

Tech Trails is all about casual, outdoor networking with a purpose — no PowerPoints, no pressure, just people, parks and meaningful conversation.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a cost to attend?

It is a free event. West Michigan Tech Talent is supported by its Council and Sponsors. Some events might have optional fees, like snowshoe equipment rental.

Will there be food and drinks available?

We encourage everyone to bring something to drink and a snack. In some cases, like Cannonsburg hikes, there will be food and beverages available for purchase after the hike.

Can I bring a friend, or my kids?

Sure! The more the merrier. Just be sure everyone coming is ready for a nice long walk.

Besides the hike, will there be anything else?

Yes, we plan a short talk either before or after each hike. However, these events are mostly about building community and creating an alternative networking event. We're not going to sell you anything!

Anything else I need to know?

We'll send an update prior to the event with extra details. The key is planning to have fun and meet someone new!
