Tech Me To Space

Code Your Dreams (CYD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making technology education accessible to all. We believe that technology should be built by and for our communities, and we equip students of all ages with the skills and resources to create meaningful tech solutions. Through our free CYD Hub, we provide curriculum, training, and support to help anyone start their own coding club or program—removing barriers to innovation and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to shape the future of technology.

Event InformationYour favorite Chicago nonprofit, Code Your Dreams, is hosting our annual fundraiser at Workshop 4200 with support from WholesomeZine! We&#x27;re a nonprofit that focuses on community innovation and amplifying diverse voices, so it should be no surprise that we&#x27;re showcasing the best of the Chicago community during this event:<ul><li>Watch live music and comedy performances from our favorite Chicago artists</li><li>Get your hands dirty with techie crafts and peruse other art pieces at the venue </li><li>Grab food and drinks with new and old friends that are passionate about our cause </li><li>Learn about the latest and greatest happening at Code Your Dreams -- such as our new Burundi initiative, prison programs and Chicago expansion initiatives. Engage in activities to see how you fit into the broader impact community / space.</li></ul>Don&#x27;t forget to wear your best space-themed outfit! This event will be out of this world ;). Children are allowed with guardian.What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?Free street parking on Diversey, ADA parking in the lot. Scooters are all around the neighborhood and there is a Diversey bus stop just feet from the entrance. Please do not park on the side street Tripp.Anything else to know?No drinks can leave the building. No outside alcohol permitted and you must be 21+ to drink.
