Tech a Run — a morning networking run in nature

Join us for a relaxed ~3-mile trail run at an easy, conversational pace and a chance to connect with other professionals. Hosted by the Tech Council of Delaware, Tech a Run trades the usual networking for fresh air and open trails along Brandywine Creek — a great way to clear your head and trade ideas alongside others in Delaware's tech community, just as the autumn leaves start to turn.

What to expect
A quick welcome at the trailhead, then an easy out-and-back on the shaded, paved Brandywine Trail. We keep a relaxed, conversational pace so no one gets left behind, and the conversations happen naturally along the way.

The details

• When: Wednesday, October 7 — meet at 8:15 AM, run begins at 8:30 AM sharp and wraps by 9:30 AM
• Where: Brandywine Trail, starting at Thompsons Bridge in Brandywine Creek State Park, Wilmington, DE (park at Thompsons Bridge)
• Distance: ~3 miles total, down-and-back on a shaded, paved trail
• Cost: Free and open to all. A quick RSVP just lets us reach you with any updates.

Good to know

• Rain or shine. We run in most conditions — a little light rain won't stop us — but we'll cancel for thunder or lightning.
• Weather cancellations: If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we'll notify registered attendees, so please RSVP so we can reach you.
• Parking: Park at Thompsons Bridge. A state park pass covers entry, or parking is $5 in-state / $10 out-of-state.
• Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
• Come prepared: Wear running shoes and dress for the weather. You may want to bring water.
• Participation is at your own risk. By attending, you agree that you take part voluntarily and at your own risk, and that the Tech Council of Delaware is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage.
