Tech A Look is a monthly workshop series designed to give community members a practical introduction to today's most talked-about technology
Curious about AI but not sure where to start? Join us for a hands-on introduction to Claude, an AI assistant that is helping professionals save time, improve communication, and work more efficiently.
In this one-hour workshop, you'll learn what Claude is, how it compares to other AI tools, and practical ways to use it in your work and daily life. Through demonstrations and guided activities, you'll discover prompts and techniques you can put to use immediately—whether you're working in a nonprofit, business, education, or simply managing everyday tasks at home.
Participants will learn:
- What Claude is and how it works
- How Claude differs from other AI tools
- Best practices for writing effective prompts
- Real-world uses for work, nonprofits, and personal productivity
- Practical prompts you can start using right away
No experience required. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet if available. Devices are not required, and opportunities to work with others will be provided.

About the Speaker
Russ McBride is the founder of The McBride Method, an AI and automation consulting firm based in Chattanooga. He works with nonprofits across the country, including 17 Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters, helping teams use AI in practical, everyday ways. A former teacher and nonprofit professional, Russ leads the AI-Fluent Agency cohort for nonprofit leaders and believes that technology should create more human connection, not less.
