INFORMATION SESSION A PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PROGRAM FOR PRACTICING TEACHERS
WHEN 22nd November 2019, 2:00pm-4:00pm WHERE Room 5.34, Education Building, Flinders University
This session will provide information about a Professional Learning Program (PLP) for Practicing Teachers to take place in 2020.The purpose of the PLP is to support teachers to create learning environments that promote students’ cognitive engagement and agency for learning in STEM.
 Teachers will have the opportunity to participate in a professional learning community and will be supported by their colleagues, and Flinders University and ASMS staff to design an inquiry project related to the theme of promoting student engagement and agency. The participants can be science, mathematics or STEM teachers, and we welcome and encourage the participation of more than one teacher from each participating school so that they can work collaboratively on their projects. The group will meet regularly during the year. The PLP is part of a research program funded by ARC.

What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is plentiful on campus. The closest parking to the Education building is Car Park 2. Please refer to <A HREF="https://www.flinders.edu.au/content/dam/documents/campus/maps/campus-map.pdf" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">campus map</A> for details and use the pay machine near the entrance to the Education Building.
