Digital games to promote Healthy eating
Department of Electron Microscopy and Molecular Pathology at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) | The Mediterranean diet is a protective pattern against chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. The Cyprus Ministry of Education's curriculum teaches healthy eating to pre-school children using various tools, including digital games, which are the focus here. We will showcase two games, Pop It and Hit It, plus a brief video. These tools are based on the Mediterranean Diet Pyramid framework. The games are currently being used as educational tools to promote healthy eating among pre-school children and have been approved by the Ministry of Education.
