Teachers Sitting By A Fire

Welcome to Teachers Sitting by a Fire. A summer 2017 offering of Your Mindful Coach hosted by Caroline Feldman and Marc Balcer.

This new group will be dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable atmosphere to join together and connect with the experience of working in the field of education. We'll begin each meeting with a brief centering practice followed by discussion on a new topic each time. You can participate as much or as little as you like.

This group was inspired by a desire among our colleagues to reflect and discuss with our peers as well Parker Palmer's work including The Courage to Teach, Exploring the Inner Landscape of a Teachers Life.

Its a perfect opportunity to step out of the fast lane for an hour or two, kick back and relax with like-minded individuals. We don't set out to solve each other's problems but to listen and share in fellowship. Our discussion allows us to examine and challenge our thoughts and beliefs with the support of other educational professionals.

While there is no charge to attend any of these gatherings. If you are moved to support this work, you are invited to offer your time, your gifts or your resources. Our summer gatherings which are scheduled for 6/12, 6/29, 7/13, 7/30 and 8/20.

Gatherings will be in the Wayne area with exact location (a private residence) to be provided upon registration.
