Tea Ceremony

Yume Japanese Gardens is the living expression of an ancient Japanese heritage. Covering three quarters of an acre in Tucson, Arizona, it comprises six traditional visions of landscape. In each, nature is balanced by the human hand to render the serene elegance and subtle spirit of an authentic Japanese garden.

Join in one of Japan’s most distinctive rituals and see why refinement and subtlety are by-words in Japanese culture. In classical kimono and following canons of etiquette established nearly 1,000 years ago, a master devoted to the art and spirituality of “The Way of Tea” will prepare and serve you a bowl of matcha, or powdered green tea, and a traditional Japanese sweet to nibble.
Reserve your space by February 4. The ceremonies are not intended for children under the age of 15.
The cost to take part is $15 per person, plus regular Gardens admission. Members of Yume Japanese Gardens pay only the ceremony attendance fee. The ticket price does not include the cost of gardens admission. You will need to pay the admission fee the day of the ceremony.
