TCNJ ECE Hack-Io-Thon

The department provides a personalized and caring learning environment for its students, enhanced by high quality faculty, staff, facilities, and equipment. The environment includes exceptional instruction, frequent opportunities for relevant laboratory experiences, research, practice of communication and teamwork skills, and the challenge of undertaking realistic engineering projects.We believe in preparing our students for the future by providing up-to-date curricula, teaching methodology, and research opportunities. The senior design projects, the hands-on nature of the laboratories, and the practical experience have earned TCNJ graduates the reputation of being industry-ready.The program also provides a base for both graduate study and lifelong learning in support of evolving career objectives. Many of our graduates attend graduate school directly after graduation and many more attend within five years. Our graduates have been accepted into graduate programs at Drexel, Penn State, University of New Mexico, Princeton University, Yale University, John Hopkins; just to name a few.Our vision embodies the department’s long-standing commitment to providing an exemplary, high quality undergraduate program in a vibrant project based environment.

<p>The ECE Hack-Io-Thon is a fun event where teams compete to design and build an Internet-of-Things system to accomplish an assigned task.  The event will be conducted over the course of one day, and awards will be presented at a concluding banquet.  The ECE Hack-Io-Thon dovetails with TCF – which is a full day of talks, workshops, vendor displays, and more.  The Hack-Io-Thon will be held in Armstrong Hall, and most of TCF is concentrated in the Education Building.  Attendees of both events are invited to partake in a common banquet, where the Hack-Io-Thon awards will be announced.</p>
