Description

This course has several mandatory requirements (see below). Please be sure you can complete these requirements before submitting your application.


Course Description

This training will cover all aspects of the tuberculosis (TB) contact investigation process to provide healthcare workers with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct an interview for contact investigation. The format includes didactic lectures, group discussions, exercises, and role-playing practice sessions.


Target Audience

Public health nurses, outreach workers, disease investigators and others who conduct and/or oversee TB contact investigations.


Requirements

All participants must be able to:

1. Complete the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Self-Study Modules on Tuberculosis prior to the training. The modules are available at: http://www.cdc.gov/tb/education/ssmodules/default.htm

2. Attend all 4 days of the training and participate in individual and group exercises.

3. Complete the evaluation forms.

Application Process & Fee

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will be notified by email when their application is received and approved.
