About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

This show celebrates our relationship with water and the cosmos. Join astrophysicist Eva Luna as she explores the turbulent origins of hydrogen and oxygen in the Universe and discover how they combined to the most essential molecules on Earth, H2O.

Thanks to realistic 3D animations and breathtaking live footage this story takes you on a journey to the Atacama Desert in Chile, where ESO’s ground-breaking telescopes assist in the search for new planets containing this essential molecule. Where there is water, there can be life.

After each show (weather permitting) guests are invited to view the night sky through the Observatory’s telescopes.

Whether you're a seasoned astronomer or just curious about the cosmos, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience. This event is open to all Lake County families.

Lake County Office of Education Astronomy expert Angelo Parisi will host this event.

There will be two shows in the Planetarium, one at 7:00 PM and another at 8:30 PM.

Children 5 and under are free.
Adults are $10 each.
Students are $5 each.
Families of 4 or more can register for a discounted price together for $5.
