Who is this group designed for ?

This group is for black women over 21 to feel seen, heard, and healed collectively without judgment or reprisal. Black women have a uniquely complex set of biopsychosocial factors and a host of intersecting identities that require holding space.

What should I expect?

You can expect to have the concerns of black women be centered while utilizing holistic healing methods in a (virtual) collective space. The group may contain anywhere from 4 to 12 members at a time.

What healing methods will we use?

Accepted Answer

Healing methods come in many forms - conventional & non-conventional. Many healing methods stem from ancient & indigenous practices, like: contemplative & meditative practices, breathing exercises, guided imagery, self-hypnosis & Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) the inspiration for this group.

How often and how long will we meet?

The group meets (virtually) every Monday for six weeks starting at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm EST. Each session will be 90 minutes long. The group begins on February 12, 2024, and ends on March 18, 2024.

Is there one payment or a series of payments?

Accepted Answer

There is one payment for this group to cover all six sessions. The cost is $210 for all six sessions combined. This comes to only $35 per session.

Is there a sliding scale fee?

Accepted Answer

We believe $35 per session is a significant discount for the self-healing techniques you will learn & do. Additionally, on Martin Luther King's birthday, we offer a $30 discount, bringing the total for the 6-week program to $180, if purchased by January 17, 2024. That's like having (1) free session!

Why is this only for black women?

Accepted Answer

Most groups are formed for a targeted population. This helps to center their concerns without fear of retribution, judgment, and criticism. Black women are some of the most targeted and oppressed people around the globe, and thus, having a safe space for them is paramount to their healing.

When is payment due?

Payment is due at the time of registration. It is best to register and pay early to secure your spot as there are limited space available.

Can I get a refund?

At this time, we do not honor requests for refunds. Please consider your selection carefully before purchasing.

Question 10

What do I need to do to prepare for the group meetings?

Accepted Answer

We ask that you come with an open heart and mind. Locate a private area away from family, pets, and loved ones to prevent private information from being shared or overheard.

Question 11

Does my camera have to be on during the virtual gatherings?

Accepted Answer

We ask that cameras remain on at all times. This helps the group to develop rapport and mutual trust among participants.

Question 12

What if I can't make all 6 sessions, will I get reimbursed for missed sessions?

Accepted Answer

We hope you can attend all six sessions; however, we understand when things arise. Unfortunately, we can not refund or offer discounts for missed sessions. If you know you want to enroll in this program but suspect you will miss a day, consider using the promo code for a $30 discount.
