TAP into Transit Day

It is the official launch of the TAP into Transit campaign—a regional fundraising and awareness initiative supporting GRTC’s Zero Fare program. It will celebrate the progress our region has made toward zero-fare transit and introduce GRTC’s new articulated buses into service!

The Transit Access Partnership (TAP) is a regional initiative led by GRTC to ensure long-term support for zero-fare public transportation. Tax-deductible donations can be made through RideFinders, a 501(c)(3) division of GRTC. All contributions go directly toward supporting Zero Fare.

It's a longer bus with a flexible joint in the middle. It allows the bus to bend as it turns, making it easier to navigate city streets. GRTC's new 60-foot articulated buses will hold up to 122 people and will be used on our high-demand Pulse rapid route!

Approximately $6.8 million is needed annually to support GRTC’s fare-free service across local, express, Pulse, on-demand and paratransit routes.
