Can I come even if I don't have tap shoes?

Accepted Answer

Yes! If you'd like to tap but don't have shoes, bring a pair of indoor running shoes to move with us.

Question 2

Do I have to tap during the jam session after classes?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. No one will be forced to improvise or move if they aren't comfortable. But the floor will be open to those who want to!

Question 3

I like jazz music! Can I just come to watch the band and the tapping?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Please do. Come hang out and socialize. Just make sure to tip the musicians if you're able to do so.

Question 4

Am I able to take both levels of classes?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! There is always something to learn for everyone. If you are a beginner and feel as though the int/adv class may be too much, you are more than welcome to observe or take a break before the social.

Will this be a regular event?

We are hoping so! The goal is to try having 4-6 of these a year. If they are doing really well, we will aim for more! So tell your friends, bring someone out with you, and tip generously where able!

Question 6

I am unable to make the event. Can I still financially support it?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, there will be an option to donate without coming to the event. These donations will help us ensure we can keep running more successful events.

Question 7

Is there a tap floor?

We have a couple of portable boards for the instructor, and for during the jam session with the band as well as some pieces of plywood that will be put out for people during class. If you are a tapper who has your own portable board, feel free to bring it if you'd like.
