Tangelo returns with its 20th series! We are once again joined by amazing literary artists to share their work over one evening.Join us for readings from Amanda Goldblatt, Steffi Drewes, mai c. doan, and Steve Trumpeter!mai c. doan is poet and writer from Los Angeles, CA. She has published and performed her work though the National Queer Arts Festival, RADAR Productions, Entropy Magazine, Mixed Up!: A Zine about Mixed Race Queer and Feminist Experience, and more. water/tongue (Omnidawn, 2019) is her first full-length book. Find her on the internet @maicdoan / maicdoan.com Steffi Drewes is the author of the poetry collection Tell Me Every Anchor Every Arrow (Kelsey Street Press) and four poetry chapbooks, including New Animal (Dancing Girl Press). She has been granted art and writing residencies at Ragdale Foundation, Vermont Studio Center, and The Wassaic Project in New York. Recent work appears in Interim journal and is forthcoming in Bennington Review. Amanda Goldblatt is a writer and teacher living in Chicago. She is a 2018 National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellow, and her fiction and essays have appeared in such journals as The Southern Review, NOON, Fence, Diagram, Hobart, and American Short Fiction. Hard Mouth is her debut novel.Steve Trumpeter's fiction has appeared in Sycamore Review, Salamander, American Fiction, Hobart, Chicago Quarterly Review, and others, and was a finalist for the Chicago Tribune’s 2019 Nelson Algren Award. When not toiling away at his own short stories or novel, he teaches fiction writing at StoryStudio Chicago.
