About this event
Ohio Renaissance Festival (ORF) is a permanent-location festival that runs through September and October with themed weekends. There's jousting, Kamikaze Fireflies, The Swordsmen, and The Mudde Show (in the Theatre in the Ground), and Cincinnati Barbarians (in Whimsy Woods, where we will be!) among so many absolutely wonderful shops, music, games, tasty food, and more! On September 7 and 8, author H. T. Martineau will have a table set up at ORF with the Dragonwolf trilogy, Dawn of the Dragonwolf (the D&D companion book), the first two books in the Hammer and Flame trilogy (Ember in the Forge and Ember on the Anvil), companion board game, cover art prints, audiobooks, keychains, necklaces, medallions, and coasters. Once again, there will be an additional table where players can complete the Paeor's Game campaign of the Dawn of the Dragonwolf D&D session series. based on signups. Check out all ORF has to offer here. If you'd like to attend the festival, but you aren't sure when, come check it out fantasy weekend, and pick up some events-only little items and signed books while you're there!
$5 discount coupon on purchases if you dress up as a character from the books!
F or more about the books, visit the Tales of Ambergrove website.
Frequently asked questions
Sometimes. We accept all major cards through the Square point-of-sale and via the events-only listings on the website. However, ORF is in the woods, and networks often fail. If you are unable to use a card because of network issues, ORF has a few ATMs on-site. The closest will be in the pub nearby.
Nope! Characters are premade and handouts explaining how to use the dice are included. Simple fighters are accessible to all players, and the author can answer most play questions as they pertain to that game.
So much! Visit the Ohio Renaissance Festival site for information about shows and booths. The festival is fantastic and the author has been going to it since she was a kid. If you love fantasy or adventures, you will love ORF.
Besides running the 1:30 5e game, the author will remain at the booth to sign books and answer questions.
Nothing! It is totally free. You will also receive a Dawn of the Dragonwolf version 1 packet (2022) and ebook download (2023) after playing.
Yes! Bookmarks and maps are always free. Necklaces and keychains are available free through the ORF trading system (a fun thing they do for kids), and Dawn of the Dragonwolf materials are free for those who play a game at the booth..
I will be somewhere in Whimsy Woods, the new, five-acre expanded area in the back of the festival grounds. Come on an adventure, check out the new area, and find me back there!
