Caring for someone with dementia can be fulfilling. It can also be stressful, and emotionally complicated. How can folks in a caring role best manage complicated emotions for their own wellness and healthy relationships? Evan Plys, Ph.D., will discuss this and more during “Taking Care, While Caretaking: Emotional Health for Families and Friends.” This presentation will cover:


  • The importance of dealing with emotional stress as a care partner
  • Practical strategies for managing emotional stressors
  • Programs designed to minimize stress for care partners of persons living with dementia
