Taekwon-Do Training Weekend

Grandmaster Howard's Taekwon-Do School is the oldest Taekwon-Do school in Ireland and has its roots in Dublin number 1 shool from the early 1970s. It was one of two founding dojangs (TKD  school) of the Republic of Ireland Taekwon-Do Association, founded in 1972.  Our chief instructor Grandmaster Robert J. Howard started training in Taekwon-Do in the late 1960s under the world famous First Grandmaster Rhee Hi Ha 9th Degree.Our core values combine the physical and sporting aspects of this self-defence with the moral principles to better the individual student and society as a whole. We believe that in developing a growth mindset in our students and pushing them to be the best they can be. Republic of Ireland Taekwon-Do Association

Training weekend: We are holding a training weekend on Saturday and Sunday 12th/13th August 2017. This year’s topics will be 'Patterns', 'Sparring', Self-Defence' and 'Power Breaking',  and will be conducted by Master Robert Howard (8th Degree) , Master Mark O’Donnell (7th Degree), and Mr Leon McSherry (5th Degree).
Master Howard and Master O’Donnell have decades of experience instructing Taekwon-Do and umpiring at European and World Championships.  Mr McSherry is 2016 European Champion in 5th  degree patterns, and 2017 vice-champion. Between them they will help you identify what you need to do to excel at the art.  
What to bring: Dobok, water bottle, packed lunch, sparing pads (can be supplied if necessary).
This Training Weekend is open to RITA black belt and colour belts (yellow belt and above) and is only €75. (€60 Early bird special, book by 31st July 2017)
