START SUMMER RIGHT with TACO WARS!

This annual community event and taco competition was created by The Liquid Muse in 2017.

This year, it takes place on FRIDAY, MAY 31, 5 - 8 pm at the Santa Fe Farmer's Market Pavilion, and kicks off New Mexico Cocktail Week

At TACO WARS, some of our area's most beloved chefs present a signature taco reflecting their own personal style - any kind of cuisine is welcome.

Guests vote for their favorite and that chef receives a Nambe plaque for their restaurant, naming them "Top Taco!"

Tickets include taco samples from chefs and cocktail samples.

A portion of ticket sales is donated to the Espanola Humane Animal Shelter. In their words:

"Española Humane offers free services and innovative programs to help suffering pets in underserved communities. For over three decades, the shelter has managed an open-door shelter that welcomes every animal without charge because we believe the most humane approach is to never turn away an animal in need. Frequently asked questions

Is this event only for adults?

Yes, please do not bring anyone under the age of 21. No children are permitted at all. (No toddlers, no little kids.) Also, no pets.

Do I have to bring my ID even if I am well into adulthood?

Yes, even if you are 99 1/2 years old, it is New Mexico law that every person have a valid ID on their person at an over 21 event. We know it sounds ridiculous but we don't make the laws... we have to follow them.

Do I need to drink responsibly?

Yes, we have cocktail samples for you to sip and enjoy. However, if anyone appears intoxicated, we will take the necessary steps to get you out of the party and home safely. Again, this is the law.

What happens if TACO WARS sells out before I get a ticket?

You can get on the waiting list once the event is sold out.
