Tackling supply chain paradoxes and dilemmas

A sustainable and resilient global supply chain is key to ensure the long-term health and prosperity of both the planet and its inhabitants. But finding effective answers to the current supply chain dilemmas is far from easy.

During this webinar we will look into dilemmas such as offshoring versus nearshoring, efficiency versus ecology, cost versus reliability versus speed, and B2B versus B2C. In a unique setting, Prof. Dewulf and Prof. Van den Auwelant will analyze and discuss these paradoxes and dilemmas and shed light on current and future geopolitical risks. About the speakers

Wouter Dewulf, PhD works at the department of Transport and Regional Economics at the University of Antwerp. He is currently researching air cargo strategy, healthcare logistics and cross-border e-commerce. He is also a professor and academic director of the Centre of Maritime and Air Transport Management at Antwerp Management School. He is a visiting professor at the University of Hasselt, Kedge Business School (Marseille) and the Institute of Transportation (Jakarta).

Wouter Van Bockhaven, PhD, specializes in innovation ecosystems to tackle cultural and behavioral obstacles in sectors like pharmaceuticals and engineering. He combines qualitative and quantitative research to develop practical management tools and has published extensively, including presentations at international conferences. Van Bockhaven teaches courses on strategy and innovation management at UAntwerpen and Antwerp Management.
