The Charlotte Gaymers Network (CGN) was founded on July 6, 2020, by friends Jonathan Saldana and Zach Smith, who recognized the need for the LGBTQ+ community to stay connected during the isolation of a world-altering pandemic. What started as a small initiative has since grown into a vibrant and thriving community hub for LGBTQ+ gamers and allies across Charlotte and beyond.CGN’s mission is to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for people from all walks of life, united by our shared love of gaming. From board games and tabletop role-playing adventures to video games and immersive social gatherings, CGN provides a safe space for connection, laughter, and friendship. Our events are designed to celebrate diversity and bring people together, whether you’re a seasoned gamer, a casual player, or simply looking for community.Today, CGN hosts events throughout Charlotte, North Carolina, and surrounding areas, building bridges across neighborhoods and offering opportunities for members to connect both virtually and in person. The community is proud to represent people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences—making CGN a place where everyone belongs.We hope to see you at one of our events soon—come as you are, and game with us!

Tabbris

You will be assigned a number when you come in that will go on your name tag, throughout the night you will fill out a sheet marking who you'd like to talk to again, then we exchange details online after the event for the folx who both indicated they'd like to talk again. We will have beer on tap available for this event as well as non-alcoholic "love potion" sodas made by @thequinntyfresh Speed friending will start at 2:15 and end around 4:15 so that folx can mingle afterwards. Event accessibility: Tabbris has parking a block away from the entrance as well as limited parking in front of the building including 2 handicap spaces. There are numerous chairs and some couches. There is one gender neutral restroom available as well as larger men's and women's restrooms.
