Systems Engineering: Emerging and Receding Capabilites in Systems of Systems

Welcome to an academic lecture on systems engineering with focus on "systems of systems". The lecture will be held at Kongsberg Innovasjon from 12.00 to 14.00 on May 8.

Professor Alberto Sols from the University Collage of Southeast Norway will hold an inspiring lecture on «systems of systems» tailored to tech startups and SMBs.

About the lecture:

“Systems of systems” are characterized by their dynamic behavior, exhibiting evolving emerging capabilities as new members join the family. Similarly, there is the possibility of some members leaving the “system of systems,” with the impact that it might have on the emerging capabilities experienced by some members of the family.

All systems are part of “systems of systems,” and thus all are subject to experiencing emerging and receding capabilities. This lecture deals with the concepts of emerging and receding capabilities of a “system of system,” as a necessary building block to further complement and develop the foundation of systems engineering.
