This workshop is hands on with lot's of excercises to practice the techniques! Come ready to design, play and understand how to use synthesizers in your music!
Students will leave this workshop with a deep understanding of how to design synthesizer sounds and how to apply this knowledge to any software or hardware synthesizer.

Synth programming 101
Create movement and interest with modulation sources
Use oscillators and filters for sound design
Process synths with audio effects
Make vintage and modern synthesizer sounds from scratch
Learn about different types of synthesis: Subtractive, FM, Wavetable, Modular
Advanced synthesis techniques
The class will be taught using Ableton Live 12 Suite. This is recommended to be able to follow along with the activities.
